Jayden Lamcellari

 Jayden Lamcellari  began his studies at the age of three with his Father Enrien, an Albanian born Cellist. Jayden joined the RIAM to study with Bill Butt when he was nine years old. He excelled in his examinations & was awarded scholarships to continue his studies.  Jayden won the under fifteen cello competition at Feis Ceoil at 12 years of age he was the youngest winner in the history of his category . He was awarded a summer scholarship to study at the Royal Conservatory of Scotland under the instruction of David Watkin and Robert Irvine. 

Jayden successfully auditioned for the NYOI in October 2015. In March 2016, Jayden performed Saint- Saens Cello Concerto at the National Concert Hall in Dublin Ireland .He continued his success winning the Feis Ceoil under seventeen cello competition at the age of 13 and participated in a documentary about the Feis Ceoil for RTE the Irish national television station. As a result of outstanding participation at The Royal Conservatory of Music Scotland in 2015, Jayden was invited again in 2016 with Scholarship to study with Nicola Benedetti for an intense week long course. Jayden won a place on the "Young Scholar Programme" 2016 at the RIAM. He has performed  with the RIAM Symphony Orchestra & won their Junior Concerto Competition in December 2016, which is supported by the Dublin Philharmonic society.

In September 2017 he began his studies at The Royal Academy of Music In London under scholarship. The same year he was awarded scholarships to The Royal College of Music in London, Guildhall as well as Juilliard in New York. He travels from Dublin ,Ireland to London every Saturday for his lessons under the instruction of Bozidar Vukotic. Mr Vukotic is the founder of the Tippett Quartet and Head of  lower Strings in The Royal Academy of music .He performs with the Royal Academy Symphony Orchestra, National Youth Orchestra of Ireland and The Ulster Youth Orchestra of Northern Ireland . 

Most recently he appeared on The Late Late Show on Irish National TV, where he performed Paganini Caprice 24. He has won The Grand Virtuoso International Competition in Vienna in February 2018 and made his debut in the famous Musikverein hall in Vienna in March this year. On the 1st of June 2018, Jayden made his Carnegie Hall debut with the New York concerti sinfonietta.  Jayden had received a loan of a fine cello from Florian Leonhard for his debut. 

Last summer Jayden was awarded a scholarship to attend The Philadelphia International Music Festival under the solo performance program. Jayden was recently awarded the Elton John scholarship at the Royal Academy of music in London. He has been invited to perform for the President of Ireland on many occasions.

Jayden enjoys playing chamber music with his Quartet and loves playing with the Academy Symphony Orchestra.
