Ben King - Tuba

I started playing the tuba at the age of 8, in and around South Derbyshire. In my early teens, brass playing in Derby City Brass Ensemble and with my school and county youth music groups took me across Western Europe, including performances of works by Giovanni Gabrielli in Venice. Approaching 40 years later, now based in Totnes, I play with Torbay Symphony Orchestra and various ensembles at the school where I teach. My brass octet, True Brass, is a funky brass covers band, available for hire at festivals, weddings and other events where a live brass disco is required.
